My battery is done. Old battery was a duralast 48-D 875amps 700 cold amps. Seems they do not make it anymore. What are you guys using nowadays, that fits well... Thank you.

I’ve always been happy with the Interstate battery, my last Interstate battery lasted 11 years.

I’ve had a Duralast Gold in mine for two or three years now. I do have a CTEK harness connected to it. If the car is going to sit for a while, I plug it in. It’s been holding up well.
In the other cars, I’ve had very good luck with the Duracell batteries from the Batteries+Bulbs store. Good warranty as well.

I use an Interstate, nothing special. Has done well for the past year since i bought it. I don't even bother with unplugging the terminals; it can sit for 2-4 weeks before starting anew, no issues.

Gents. I need specific battery that I can buy. Not just the manufacturer. Thanks

You're thinking about this far more than I did. I pulled my old battery out, drove to the Interstate store, put it on the counter and said "I need a new battery. This is the old one. I need same/similar including dimensions." The guy pulled out a measuring tape, noted the terminal directions, and walked to the back room, came back with a flooded battery and said "This should do fine."

Just pick up a BCI group 34R (which will tell them the size and the location of the positive/negative posts), and 440 cold cranking amps is fine.

Just a standard lead acid battery is ok, you don’t need anything fancy in a 308. [emoji6]

Height is an important dimension. If its too high the cover won't fit properly.

Very true. Thus my mention of the tape measure.
