True and glad I have them on mine. I wonder how much faster this car is around the Ring with today's tires? I think its official Ring time was 7:28 and wouldn't be surprised if 10 secs come off that time with the NO tire.
I would suspect even more, especially if the car was given a similar compound to what comes on today's GT3s etc. Based on what I've gathered, increases in tire technology are the #1 reason today's supercars are putting down lap times that are so much faster than prior generations of cars. Yes, power levels have gone up considerably too, but so has weight which is the enemy of speed on the track.
Very true that tires are key....having done a few track outings on a CGT and also with several modern Porsches on OEM specification Michelin Cup 2 tires, I would guess that a CGT would do about 7:10 on the Nordschleife on modern Cup 2 tires and maybe 7:00 on Cup 2Rs.
The above 66,000-mile CGT for sale at the Octane Collection after 12 years and 65k miles with one owner. This car had a major accident early on, and the current owner took on the project of rebuilding it before adding all those miles. He serviced and maintained the car himself. They are asking 399k GBP, or $533k USD at current exchange rates. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
About 10 years ago, the national Ruf distributor was in Dallas. One time when I was there, a cgt was getting a nose lift kit installed and it had well over 30,000 miles on it.
Fantastic. Ironically the cars with higher miles tend to be the ones that have gone through the least consumables (clutches, shock absorbers, etc.), based on conversations I've had with owners. Drive the car regularly, and learn how to drive it right, and it will be "just a Porsche" to live with, in many ways.

No leads, but the low front 1/4 view in your pic and the low rear 3/4 view are my favorite angles of that car. Looks somewhat understated yet so aggressive, like it's ready to pounce on some prey. Absolutely awesome!
Porsche Exchange in Highland Park (Illinois) has a untitled, never driven Black CGT), perfect condition and regularly maintained. Couple years ago they offered the car for $1.1mln, not sure whether they still want to sell it.

I love Harry’s Garage. It doesn’t matter what he drives as he is very good in communicating his thoughts on the car and it’s pros and cons etc. Can’t wait to watch the Carrera GT vid.
There will never be another car like it made and if there is it will be on a rare occasion, unattainable like the T.50.
