Could it be a real LWB made to look like 1451gt?

If the car is not 1451GT, it is very unlikely that anyone with a beautiful and real 250 GT LWB California Spyder would turn it into a fake with the livery of the 5th OA place car at Le Mans, 1959 that does not belong on it.

For sure the car pictured in Monaco is not the real 1451GT...

Legit LWB made to look like 1451? That's all I can imagine. Doesn't look like a replica. Did 1451 have its nose redone?

Here's a better view, same car, same location, taken August 1979 during the AvD-Oldtimer-Grand Prix in the old paddock at the Nürburgring, Germany. That Maser is not too bad either.

Marcel is the Maserati 4501/4512? It looks bloated from this angle.

This is a REPLICA built by using 250 GTE 2+2 chassis #4079 GT as donor car and made to look like 1451 GT.
This replica is currently for sale in Monaco (by" [email protected]") at an asking price of Euro € 1'600'000.

That is the one and only Costin Zagato 450S, yes. Not sure if it was already owned by Peter Kaus then.

This is the Costin 450S, chassis #4512 (ex-4501). At that time owned by Peter Kaus. Today owned by L.A. in the USA and in correct black color.

Wasn't this car with Harry Woodnorth in Chicago at some point in the 1960's? C&D article I think?

Yes. It was converted by Maserati to road use and sold to the USA. Today in the collection of L.A. in CT.
