Can't remember. I think the core is 400x660mm. About 70mm thick. I'll check. Sent from my SM-N920I using FerrariChat.com mobile app
There's oily crap everywhere on the firewall. I think the culprit is the clutch crossover linkage - years of previous owners and mechanics squirting oil everywhere to get some on the bearings. So, while I'm in there... a bit of cleaning up. First, get the dirty old thing out Image Unavailable, Please Login Sent from my SM-N920I using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Oily dirt all over the firewall, but easier to clean now Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Sent from my SM-N920I using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Degreased. The bearings are actually spherical joints, including where the cable and pedal rod attach Image Unavailable, Please Login Sent from my SM-N920I using FerrariChat.com mobile app
I'm going to lubricate the bearings with grease, but don't want it to go everywhere, so I'm making up some seals Image Unavailable, Please Login Sent from my SM-N920I using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Hi Patrick, the age old topic I'm not so familiar with this specific RHD-thing. What kind of bearings did they use? Robert (crowndog) just brought this to my attention. Best from Germany Martin
They're spherical bearings, in both the shaft and the attachment points of the lever arms to the clutch pedal rod on one end, and the cable on the other (using clevis pins). It's all press fitted together, and I'm loathe to try and take them apart. After cleaning, there's quite a bit of free play and a bit of drag, so I'm going to grease them up anyway, as I think the original idea is past its use by date. I'd machine up Teflon bushes and be done with it, but it's a step too far at this point of the project
Many spherical bearings are also of the self lubricating type. Most flung grease comes from split boots..
I thought that I had finally reached the bottom of the rabbit hole, and start climbing back to the surface - wrong. I was going to leave the bearings alone, but I started to break out in a rash. So I decided to press them out and have a look. Needed to turn up the right sized tool first (done by my fabricator friend - I would have cut my foot off)

The small bearings in the arms needed to be ordered in, so I left those alone. Managed to find 6mm clevis pins, but they were too long. So a bit of machining needed Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Sent from my SM-N920I using FerrariChat.com mobile app
