Drove the F8 today and placed my order!

For me I just think the F8 looks like a Ferrari is supposed to look. I've had V12's and their sound can't be beat but for me looks trump sound.

 

Yes. Satin finish plastic, but not soft touch!

For anyone else waiting on there F8 mine just went to status 20. Algar figures it’ll be here beginning of February, I can’t wait.

Awesome. I am still hoping for delivery in March but have heard nothing from my dealership. I am going to stop by tomorrow and check in. When do you get your photo? (This is my 3rd Ferrari but first new one)

 

I drove the F8 today and checked on my order status. I’m in the initial order batch of 9 placed in September, in the group the order status varies from status 70 to status green 10. Unfortunately I’m still at green 10, but dealer claims it should move pretty quickly in the next week or so. I’m not sure when the photos show up but they seem to lag quite a bit. Dealer is confident the first batch of 9 will be delivered from March to April.

 

Oh BTW, marketing manager claims there will be an F8 VS

 

I wouldn't have agreed with you on this up until a few days back but after receiving this particular email I have drawn the exact same conclusion that it could only mean a F8VS is in the pipe. So yes it appears to be shaping up as yet another case where Ferrari assures then goes and does the exact opposite.

 

Sadly, the Ferrari serial purchase experience is starting to feel like a twisted game of “Thank you, Sir, may I have another”?

 

So I take you got the survey/email as well? I mean the questions were so telling.....so obvious!

 

Can someone tell me all the different status levels and what they mean?

 

10 - Orders accepted (Red 10 = No Changes)
20 - Chassis assembly (at Scaglietti)
30 - Painting
40 - Assembly line (dash/wiring/interior/options)
50 - Assembly line (engine/transmission)
60 - Finishing
70 - Testing (road/track)
85 - Storage
90 - Water (intransit)
91 - In Port
92 - PDI completed
93 - Shipping to dealers
94 - Dealer stock
94 - Red - retailed
95 - Submit to factory


Approximate times for certain stages:
10 - 10 Red 5.0 weeks
10 Red - 20 3.5 weeks
20 - 70 2.5 weeks. September 26 - October 15
70 - 90 1.5 weeks
90 - 91 3.0 weeks
91 - Delivery 3.0 weeks

 

I was told there would be a couple of months ago. Actually was told you needed to have a F8 to get the VS. Interesting thing is I was told , I didn't ask.

If there is a VS there cant be too many changes ? I dare say all carbon parts, livery ? , Numbered. As ive said before they could put the new 4 liter from the SF90 ?
A car for certain markets without the GPF ?

When I was in Sydney I passed waterloo and they were denying any sort of F8 VS , But Zagames have said it from earlier on there will be. I would have thought the intel would have been the same throughout the Ferrari distributors ?

Well im of to the SF90 launch at Zagames on Saturday. Ill ask this time. Guess you will see the SF90 soon up there.

 

If there’s a VS there goes PISTA values. Ferrari is whipping out new models at a pace unlike anything we’ve seen.

Well barring any slowdown for the holiday the car should be done by the end of the month with photos sent shortly thereafter. I'll post as soon as they come.

 

Anyone who doesn’t own a Pista seems absolutely giddy at the prospect of an F8 VS. it’s as if they are hoping Pista owners get screwed. Lol
