No chance. Also, the LaFeffari on 2019 semi-slicks (Cup 2 Rs or Trofeo Rs, as opposed to the original 2013 Corsas) will be much quicker than the SF90 Stradale, on the same tyres. Read that myself, but it very hard to believe for a 400 mm in diameter fan...
Confused as to how you can add something to the existing engine to make it rev substantially higher. If you change out the cams, redo the heads, change the compression and/or shorten the stroke and then modify the block/cylinders to support the changes I think you don't have the same engine anymore. The engine is the car for me so thinking what Ferrari can dream up is fascinating. Don't care about interiors or flaps and gills or now fans and junk like that. I have low expectations about style these days but that V12 engine is the singular expression of Ferrairi heritage. Of course, adding an electric motor and batteries would ruin it IMO even if it had fantastic performance.
The 812 VS is promising form every corners you look at her. And I am not talking only about aesthetics. Some new tech features are completely new and very interesting. From aesthetics point of view my personal impression is the same I had when I compared the regular 488 and Pista. Regarding dynamics and pleasure of driving I don’t have any idea but I believe it will be a game changer. Only time will tell us. Will be more desirable than Tdf??? I have my personal idea but who knows....we will discover soon or later.
Do you know if it will be limited number production or limited time production (like the Pista)? Sent from my iPad using FerrariChat
From everything that has been communicated to me thus far it looks like limited time production. The limited number would be reserved for VS Aperta (still being debated though). One thing I do know is that they are acutely aware of the developments in the secondary market and seemed to be, at least on the face of it, a little concerned. Whether that changes their approach on future cars is yet to be seen.
+1...for now limited time production personally I would prefer it will be numbered regarding VS Aperta...not a real project yet!
I think the VS will have some minor stylistic changes to enhance the aero and minimize weight and not a hybrid due to the weight penalty. I do expect some major engine changes- who knows maybe go American hot rod and supercharge the engine! Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
Rumors: NA engine with an extra feature. More or same weight (not much, much less than you think) Style with a lot of differences in the rear, small (and medium on the front) differences on other areas. New cockpit. Expected top power: closer to 900 hp than to 800 hp. Unlimited. Rumors are rumors: maybe they are about other new models. This above is what comes up by adding and merging several rumors coming from different guys. Ciao
Given that they now have the 812 GTS as a model, VS Aperta is a near certainty in my mind. The only question is whether it will be a VS Aperta and be numbered or VS Spider and be time limited.
Shocker that they changed the rear! Can't get away from the first photos of that yellow car when everyone said it looked like a car eating another one. Horsepower increase of course mandated but curious about high rpm rumor.
