    Lou,
I use the Blackfire line of products, both their BlackICE and Midnight Sun waxes.
I apply it with their foam applicator pad and buff with a generic microfiber towel.

Not all microfiber is created equal.

for de-waxing, i'm partial to the chemical guys' green ones (tear the tag off).

Autozone microfiber is too coarse and can leave swirls.

My 2001 Azzurro California 360 Spider came with a ceramic coating. Previously, I thought those were all hype and sales tactics. Not true. The ceramic coating makes this car so freakin easy to clean and maintain. The surface is much harder than normal soft clear coat and dirt seems to just fall off the car on its own. I clean it using an aircraft window cleaner (Prist) and soft South Korean microfibre towels. I can "wash" the entire car in less than 10 minutes using this method.

So my recommendation would be to consider a ceramic coating professionally applied. It will save you many hours of washing and buffing in the future.

I used Wolfgang's product line and was very pleased with the results. I did: wash/dry, orbital with a compound, orbital with a polish, orbital with a sealant, then a spray on wax. I took me something like 2 hours per step. It is now a slick finish, so anything (bugs included) get a small bit of water and soap to wipe right off, sometimes just a spray with water does the job. After the sealant application, the surface was high-static, but the wax took that away.
