Congrats on that beautiful & SMART purchase! Just think about changing the gear lever to the DBS style. "Q" will be glad to make one for you. That's the only thing that makes the looks & driving experience better! But keep the original! I saw your car has some good company to keep up with, but in my case, it's the most capable of it's siblings:)

    thanks Sarkis.

Dino + 993 = :D (can't make out the one in the garage??)

is the DBS style shifter the same as the earlier (2012) V12 vantage manuals (the metal one)? would definitley need Q to make the 7 speed dogleg pattern insert.

EDIT--just saw the pic of yours on page 1

Beverly hills Aston's parts department ordered it for me from the "Q" department of the factory! As for the other car in the garage, it's a 62 xke! Those three cars were my dream cars growing up.

I think your Aston's color is stunning, it does justice to it's character! Once you master the transmission, you will realize how playful the car is, while blipping the throttle with every shift up or down.

    Enjoy!!!

Thanks for the input as I know you know Astons. Which model has the most room for larger American folks that you recommend?

The new DB11 has modern ergonomics.
Its all planed by a computer.
The Vantage is the smallest outside but interior is not that bad,
A db9 is the narrowest , but the STYLE which 2 years ago looked long in the tooth is now a TRUE MODERN CLASSIC!
    Bullet proof drive...….pick the Vantage.
Classic style but quirky british issues, pick the DB9
Modern, NEVER BREAK but BORING AND AS COLD AS ANY MERCEDES, pick the DB11.
I had the DB11 in both v8 and v12 for testing and opinion......IMHO, THATS MY H/O
The DB11 is a terrible car. THE SALE FIQUIRES prove me right.
As cold as a dentist chair, OVER kill with the buttons and screens, drive one for 1 week youll do anything to get out of it.
The new VANTAGE IS worse.....PLASTIC, CHEAP Mercedes based car parts, terrible for the money.
You can buy the last DB9 GT COUPE and the last old Vantage v12 with stick and have money left over compared to the new DBII!
The last of the SECOND VERSION Vanquish with the updated transmission is wonderful as well.
    IMHO

Agree about the Vanquish, a very underappreciated car .
The last version, "S" is a terriffic buy at current prices, IMO.
