    Hi,
I have Lusso T for 3 months now and enjoying every minute, last night however I put my foot down a little harder than usual on a B road, at around 120-130 km/h the car almost rolled over I almost cross the footpath and went the other side luckily the car turned back in an S way a very big S if you know what I mean, the back danced big time at a reasonable high speed of 130 km/h

My 812 is arriving in 2 weeks, from 812 owners, is it even more drama car back dancing or does the system help correct the car and feels safe

Any feedback about this is appreciated
    Thank you all
    Mike

With 700+ HP on a B road, caution is always warranted.. no way for the tires to grip and the nannies to be 100% effective

It was in Sports mode on Lusso T and it was in Auto and if I was not mistaken must be 3rd gear acceleration

Usually I love the back movement in the 1st and second gear but this time it happened in higher speed was a bit scary

Always ensure your tires are warm. You are probably running summer tires on a cold road. There isn't that much torque in 3rd gear at 60mph. Maybe 2nd gear.

Thank you will keep this in mind about warming the tyre but in Thailand there is no winter, however I feel it must be that particular road only that is slippery

Tires should be over 90 degrees fahrenheit if you are going to stomp on it. Also if yo are in auto mode the trans is probably kicking down a gear or two so you have a ton of torque.

You are right about temperature even in tropical climate this is a great warning for me, today it did that again and I noticed the temperature was at 68-70, after driving when it went to 85-90 I can feel the grip improved so much, this is a lesson for me before the arrival of 812, I am new to these super power over 600hp cars and I didn’t know it had so much impact especially with rear wheel drives
Thank you for the info on temperature and I hope this gives others heads up as well
    Be safe all

V8 Turbo engine has more torque lower in the rev range, the V12 in the 812 you will have to be mindful of the power as the RPMs build.

Congratulations! I agree about the Michelins- but its been hard to get the right Michelin sizes for 812. I would not put Cup2 on the 812 unless you plan to drive only in dry and warm conditions. I would suggest Michelin Pilot 4S. The Pirelli PZ4 that come on the car are actually pretty good, I just slightly prefer the Michelins.

Mike, maybe be worth going to a circuit or a place where you could try the car out safely in the same conditions, so you can get a feel of the car and how it reacts. More so with 812 . An 812 in the UK below 10 degrees c is just impossible to use the power . As others have said tyre temperature is very important as they are designed for hard use and need warm up time.

The PZ4 is better than the Michelin anyway, but only when properly warm. Too much power and cold tyres is never a good combination. Try a lower manettino setting when the tyres and/or the weather are cold.

IMO your original 'problem' can not be solved with different tires. Just be very careful with kickdown...shift manually with the paddles to avoid surprises.

Thank you, I have been careful and wait for the tyre temperature to go up and don’t have that drama anymore

Glad you are okay, remember the summer tires on these have poorer reaction in wet, perhaps the strip of road you were on had a wet area? Congratulations on your 812!

    Best wishes.
