    My US 82 308GTSi did not have one. My exhaust has full wrapped headers. Should it also have a starter shield?

    Thanks for chiming in Brian. On the 328 parts books they call out which cars did/didn't have them ('not for US/CH versions'). In the 308 GTBi/GTSi parts books they only have one listing without any exclusions (screen shot from Table 38-Electrical Generating System 308 GTBi/GTSi parts book below).

    You are not looking at a US parts book. The US parts book does not even list the part.

    I bought one "for added protection" when restoring my US carb car. That superformance repro is a b---h to get fit, and I wound up using a Velcro wrap shield from Jeg's.
