I'm looking for a complete parts list for a 360 Major Service. I've searched and found various parts lists. Seems like some are more comprehensive than others. I have a 2000 Spider. I don't intend to change the cam or valve cover seals unless I find a leak. Here's what I've seen mentioned so far. Plugs were done 6k miles ago so I will probably leave alone. Seems like more than I need?:

    184986 Timing Belt
    170787 Bearing
181264 Tensioner Bearings? Is this the part that should use Hill Engineering's replacement?
    201236 AC Belt
    201446 Alt/water Pump Belt
    201454 Power steering belt
    143742 Shaft with bearing
    202784 L.H. Hydraulic Tightener
    157356 Belt Tightener
172537 Belt Tightener pulley (need 2?)
    197654 oil cartridge
    190880 air filter
    167135 gasket - o-rings?
    173540 gasket - cam cover?
    173541 gasket - cam cover?
177055 gasket for rear cover head (cam gaskets)
    187140 seal ring
    10261860 gasket
    10263460 gasket
    101044 O.R. gasket
    130932 sealing ring
    137868 gasket
    11059976 snap ring
    159425 bushing (qty 4?)

Is replacement absolutely necessary? I clean the screen every 2 years just like I do with the oil filter screen. The screen is very clean, not damaged at all.

You did not include any radiator coolant related items such as water pump, thermostat, fresh coolant etc. After all you did say 'Major'.

When I did my first major I also included the heat exchanger because the car did not come with any maintenance history. I'm making my own

I will add the thermostat and coolant. Not sure I want to touch the water pump if it isn't leaking. Do most here actually replace (or rebuild) it every 3-5 years, regardless of miles?

For reference, my 2004 was weeping coolant at 12K miles. So, I would highly recommend closely inspecting the water pump and consider swapping it if you have a good amount of miles or notice any coolant discharge.

And I had a client who wore a 360 engine out and never replaced the waterpump.

Timely coolant changes with the right products prevents premature seal failures.

Won't argue this one bit since the service manager of Ferrari of Atlanta said it was seeping due to non-use during the PPI and was fixed prior to my ownership. I drove the piss out of that car.

    Recheck your quantities...
    2 Belts
    2 Tensioners
    2 Bearings
Water pumps now have metal vs plastic vanes.
I replaced all of the above at 25K mi.

Wanted to update my list for a 360 "major" and compare to what others have done. I've eliminated most of the gaskets which I will deal with if I find any leaks:
    184986 (2) timing belts
    201236 (1) A.C belt
    201446 (1) Alt & Water Pump belt
    201454 (1) power steering belt
PT360 (2) Hill Engineering Tensioner Bearings
    157356 (1) belt tightener Rt.
    172537 (1) belt tightener Left
    (1) oil filter, (2) air filters, (1) pollen filter, (1) gearbox filter
    183758 (1) thermostat

Will do cam gaskets and valve cover seals only if leaking, same for water pump.
    Will change all fluids.
Plugs have just 6k miles on them - assume will not need to be changed yet

170787 (2) timing belt pulley bearings - these are not listed on Ricambi's Major Service Kit for the 360. Recommended or not? It is not referenced in the service manual unless for a major overhaul. If so I will need a special tool for the ring nut that Ricambi sells.
172537 Belt Tensioner pulley (accessory drivebelt?)- is this needed?

Re 172537. Not a bad idea. They often fail between belt changes. Part of the problem is overtightened belts because so few people or shops have the tensioning tool or the specifications for it.

I only replace tensioners if needed. I have seen cars wear out around original tensioners. Total waste of money unless the left side needs an update. I always use that as a yardstick to see if a shop is screwing their customers.

Plastic vaned water pumps??? WTF cares? Plastic breaks because people break them, not because they cant do the job.

Correction: 202784 is LH tensioner, not 172537
