Need help with decision- Which is the better buy for the same money?- A black 2013 with 5600 miles or a red 2015 with 16,000 miles. Both have a similar build of $405k. The higher mileage 2015 comes with a 2 year warranty- CPO. From pictures- the lower mileage black car’s interior appears pristine while the red higher mileage car shows some wear (rough side bolster wear). I prefer the black color as I already have a red 458 spider. The 2015 has two more years service and the extra warranty but has 10,000 miles more wear and tear (more exterior rock chip as well). Thoughts?

The 2013 with 5600 miles assuming you love the spec. With that low mileage its likely really nice on the outside as well. Model year meaningless as this car is fantastic out of the gate. Warranty can be acquired for I think $5x00 per year plus initial inspection. I would still inspect either car. You don't post much. :)

I got into Porsche’s again. I love my 2018 GT3 manual with Dundon exhaust. Epic. And I love non turbo charged Ferrari engines.

Porsche’s servicing is free compared to Ferrari. I just was quoted over $4k to fix my sticky controls in my 458. It’s just ridiculous and yet here I am trying to purchase another one.

Obviously- these are emotional decisions. Lol.

2013. Mileage matters more than model year. The worn side bolsters on the 2015 may be a red flag, imagine what shape the internals are in and perhaps the prior owner was not as meticulous. You can add power warranty on the 2013, I recommed one year for peace of mind and to sort out any issues.

My guess: it’s Christmas and the answer is more or less self-evident.

2013. Sounds a little more loved from your description.
2015. Sounds like previous owner properly used it. Great for him. Not good for you.
    I would go 2013.

Get the spec which excites you and is the one you want.

The fact that it’s in better condition and lower miles is a bonus. The two year age difference won’t matter while you’re driving and enjoying it. And if you plan on keeping it a long time, the difference in years will become meaningless.

I’m leaning to the 2013. It wasn’t obvious to me because I thought a lower mileage older car that was hardly driven might have more mechanical problems. These are machines that need to be driven if we want them to run well.

It’s true that a garage queen can be temperamental - but you’ll forgive her once you’ve got her in tow...

FWIW, I bought an FF at the same age as the 2013 you’re contemplating and it only had 2x the mileage of the F12 you’re looking at. The only problem I’ve had so far (fingers crossed) is a broken fuel pump...
