    Hi All -

Given all the new Rosso tonal variants that Ferrari has introduced, I'm having a hard time keeping them straight, especially for the darker, metallic ones.

Could members please post some pics of the DARKER METALLIC shades. I believe Rosso Fuoco, Rosso Fiorano and Rosso Maranello are three such tones. I am sure there are others.

Please do post pics of 458's, 488's and Pista's that have these darker red shades, and confirm the name of the shade you are posting one of.

    I'd really appreciate it, thanks!

don’t have easy access to pics right now but of the three you mentioned, Fiorano is darkest, then Fuoco, then Maranello. Maranello is really not very dark at all. You could add Rubino Micalazzato which is a bit darker than fiorano and has larger metal flakes in it like Fuoco does.

You will find aside from the color that the metallic flakes make a huge difference in these colors. Rubino and Fuoco have larger modern style flakes and in particular, the ones in Fuoco have a goldish hue to them. Fiorano has a muted smaller metallic look to it (less depth) and Maranello has these silver ‘Spherules’ which gives it a very liquidy metallic look (quite gorgeous really but I would NOT call it a darker red, especially in the sun).

I think Fuoco is the same cost as Maranello and Coburn (all triple layer). The 4 layer I believe is low 30's which is Rosso F1 2007 and Piano Black. I would guess 45k might be some sort of paint to sample price.

I belive Fuoco is $28K too. its a 3-Layer paint. It had better be at least! I'll have a Maranello 812 in a couple of weeks and Fuoco Pista in a few months. Look forward to a side-by-side comparison. Rosso Coburn may be more expensive. Not sure if it is a 4-Layer, which is $32K.

There is a Rosso Sergio Pista for sale in Chicago. Any ideas on where that color is from? I don't think it is Tailor Made.

All really great paints. There is no metal flake in Rosso Maranello. Its a suspended pearl 3-layer. I suspect most of the others are as well.
