Hello folks - does anyone have a picture of the original set up for an early series (M-preferably) Dinoplex? Here is mine - I have a new label coming for the black coil. I am looking for the correct color scheme and labels for the emergency coil (mine shown in red). thank you and Happy New Year!! Pietro Image Unavailable, Please Login
The primary coil should be a BAE200A and was black i believe. (beige top) The secondary "emergency" coil should be BZR201A and again was black. Both coils Satin black. The BAE200A has two stickers . http://www.superformance.co.uk/246/badges.html 1 x FER02240 above the coil clamp 1x FER02245 below the coil clamp. The BZR should have a gold "magnetti marelli" sticker but those are harder to find. https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/246-decals.604045/page-2 Post 16 Try Parker Hall - Kilimanjaro Designs in the /daytona section i beleive or https://www.okp.de/xtc2/Porsche/95-Accessories/Sticker/Sticker-gold-Magneti-Marelli-Bobina-Superpotente::22775.html?language=en the latter is a close copy of the original. Parker Hall has the sticker for the emergency coil https://kilimanjarodesigns.com/product/91e-gold-and-blue-daytona-coil-stickers/ He also has the sticker for the BAE 200-A coil https://kilimanjarodesigns.com/product/92m-coil-sticker-shiny-silver-foil-bae-200-a-ace-103-a-60x30mm/
Thank you Tony - so both are satin black. Excellent. Assuming the ballast resistor block remains red on the emergency coil? Cheers Pietro
Correct, BR was red (matt) red coil sticker here https://kilimanjarodesigns.com/product/91n-daytona-coil-red-silver-warning-sticker-for-bae-200/
I have a spare OEM mounting plate for a Euro E that holds coils, ignition box and ground, not sure if M's had them, but LMK if you need it TAV 36, item #6
HI Scott - M series components are mounted directly to wheel well. Thanks for the offer Cheers Pietro
Ok. Here is what I came up with. Using Superformance dinoplex set up. Bosch coil painted black with repro decals. Emergency coil also in black with repro decal. Yes my original 50 yr old dinoplex died last week... Running points Thanks everyone for your help here Cheers Pietro Image Unavailable, Please Login
Looks great, to be 100% i beleive the primary coil has small rubber boot/s on the ballast resistor connection/s, seem to recall it only had one fitted but it could be wrong for the M. Tony
