Wintering near my 93yo MIL in Lauderdale. Always make time to hit the Swap Shop...

What's been posited occasionally as the "first 100 million dollar Ferrari" is missing...(so's the Maserati MC-12, but I love that yellow 275)...one of three competition models made, and the only one that was raced.

(Had cooling issues one time, so they took a sawzall to the hood mid race...because race car).

Is it on loan somewhere? Saw it last year, didn't look in need of another resto...have the kids/heirs begun breaking up the collection?

That's their right, but I can't imagine this particular car changing hands quietly...
    Anyone?.

I posted about it here in August as I know where it is based on the video. Likely same spot today.

    https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/posts/146744296/

It probably is the first and only $100mm+ Fcar. Although not the most valuable car in the world. That title belongs to the Andy Warhol BMW M1. It's more a painting than a car though...

Thanks. Did some research y'day and was tempted to call the Gunnar folks. Figured they'd know where it was.

Please keep the thread updated if you know it hasn't moved in 5 months. I sincerely hope they don't sell it. Preston putting those cars on display lets commoners like me that can't afford 7 figure cars (9 figures in that case) to see them regularly.

I saw this car in person parked along the street in Beverly Hills for the 60th anniversary ferrari event. Not too many people were around it when Preston had one of his guys start the engine and rev it a few times. I knew it was a special car but didn’t quite know just how special it was until I got home later and read about it. I have a video of it on my phone somewhere. One of my favorite Ferrari related experiences ever.

I don't believe it's for sale, however since the OP mentioned Preston's MC12 - that has been sold.

Here are a couple shots of it at the Beverley Hills 60th celebration. I have many more pics archived on another hard drive, if anyone is interested let me know and I will dig them up.

Beside LM-winning 250 Goat & SWB in the bottom pic. Not a bad three-car garage ...?

I can just make out 5 in a row that would fit in the 5 car garage that I will never build. Or fill with a couple hundred million.!!!

Me thinks it's worth considerably less than a Series I 250 GTO.

Good question, but next to a red GTO it seems to say" I'm the one you really want!" All that money from a swap meet. Wow. I see jewelry for sale. Right next to the Caramel Corn I reckon.

I was told some of the Swap Shop cars have sold since his death. MC12 among them.

Going to Cavallino in 2 weeks, will stop by to take a look. His 275 GTB/C was not at Cavallino last year already.

Preston Henn passed away 30 April 2017.
His 06885 was last shown at Cavallino in Palm Beach in 2007. There were some complications between the organisers and Preston and he decided to never bring it back again.
He did show 06885 in Amelia Island 11 March 2012.

So is there that much money to be made owning a swap meet? I know his is huge but holy crap the cars he had.

I often wondered the same. Im sure it made him a lot of money and he then invested in other ventures.
