It will be interesting to see if McCarthy accomplishes anything without Aaron Rodgers, regardless of where he lands.

A fitting end to the Eagles' season. QB whacked in back while on the ground in game's first series, then helmet to helmet blast to say good night. I wish all of you good luck for your rooting /betting interests, and see you next fall. Keith
I don't. Watch it in real time and not slow mo. It was a bang bang play, and as I heard someone say on one of the shows this morning was the Wentz isn't known for sliding and it's still practice for defensive backs to drop their head. It's natural to them.
Sorry your guys couldn't pull it off, Keith. All in all, a dismal season for the once-proud NFC East...T
AB is now a "rapper". Not really. https://www.vladtv.com/article/259987/update-antonio-brown-drops-video-for-whole-lotta-money?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=short-link&utm_campaign=259987
It doesn't matter. I think an argument could be made on Clowney either way. I do not think it was a blatant or intentional foul. The smash in the back in the first series third down play was worse...late hit and Wentz was already stopped on the ground. Once Wentz was out of the game, it was over, even though they had two late drives that had fourth down fails that might have tied it. Imagine any of the playoff teams losing a Brady, Rodgers, Brees, that Baltimore guy in the early going. Would any of those teams have a fighting chance, especially since half the original staring roster was dead and the other half injured? That's football. The Eagles were not a good team all year. Wilson carried that entire game and team. He was sensational and they deserved the victory. My wife says being a life long Eagles fan is my only vice. I give the team and coaching staff respect for their resilience and determination. I think the fans admired that. Philly fans in all of our sports have a (mostly) deserved reputation for being morons. We live and die with our teams, as many of you do. All we want is 100% effort every down, and I think this year's squad mostly gave us that. My very best wishes to all of you for a healthy and prosperous new year, and we all tee in up again next September with clean slates. pax vobiscum
Well said Keith, and dominus vobiscum to you and to Eagles and Pats fans ................ oh OK, to Cowboys fans too!
That's what bothers me with the Eagles players. I know they're trying to stick up for their guy, but they act like he was that college kid a month of so ago that got flat out laid out helmet to helmet with his back towards the DB. That's intentional.
So I hear Rex Ryan say he believes Whitten is the coach in waiting and McCarthy is the in between coach. It definitely sounds very plausible.
Rex Ryan is a dolt. Did Whitten distinguish himself as a football genius in his one year as a TV commentator? I'd believe that more if it were Tony Romo...T
The most important part of the Philly season: they knocked Dallas out of the playoffs. (although it can be argued Dallas knocked themselves out of it)
Glad to see DAL got a new coach. The comparison is obvious. Garrett is so skinny McCarthy looks like a whale of a coach.
