Having owned a 2010 GT3 and kinda been missing it, I was wondering which one is the one to buy nowadays.
    I assume a GT3 RS 4.0 lol

my budget is only about 150k

    997.1 Gt3 RS ?
    2008 GT2 ?

    Any input is appreciated.

    Spend some time on Rennlist.

For $150k I’d recommend a 991.1 GT3 or GT3RS. The GT3 is better for more street use, the RS for track and higher speed mountain. Most of all of the Gt3s have a 10 year engine warranty. Both the 3 and the RS punch way above their weight (cost). Extraordinarily hearty.

For track day, daily, or for fun drives?

I have a regular 991 and worry if I replaced it with a gt3, it would lose some daily driver ability.

I think if I did more track days, I would want a gt3, but for just fun drives I can't see it replacing the Ferrari.

    Just spirited driving.
As mentioned I had a gt3 before and lived it.

Did you enjoy it more than the CS for that or just different?

At your budget it would be hard to go wrong with a 997.1 GT3RS if you’re looking for something modern.

Hey, what about the RSA? That would be a great car!

From the list above I would get the GT2. I miss the one I had. Manual tranny. Amazing handling. And that engine pulls like few others do. Will not lose money on it.

The GT3 is a great car for your purpose. I felt the 991.1 GT3RS as a bit to harsh for routine street driving. I think any of the 997 variants would be a good choice.

The GT2 and GT3 RS are very different and different price points. I recommend you drive both.

I doubt you can find a 997 GT2 in decent condition under or at $150k.

It would have to be a 996 GT2 at that pricing.
