Sorry if this is a repost but does anyone know what colour of red this is? It looks darker than Rosa Corsa to me (and it’s beautiful!) Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
I think it’s different than this or just the lighting? Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
I think it is just the lighting and that was one of the show cars that was for display and wasn't a runner; Rosso Portofino?
I gotta hand it to you, your knowledge is impressive! Thank you. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
Crazy to see McLaren copy Ferrari’s Monza design but now Aston Martin? Didn’t know there was even a market for the Monza’s 499 cars but to add the 300 McLarens and probably another 300 Aston Martin’s there’s a bit of a stretch for such a limited use vehicle. Although they are absolutely beautiful.
Unless they all have a significant level of confidence that the cars can be driven in the US Sent from my iPad using FerrariChat
even the competitors were so impressed with the monza that they didn't bother to come-up with their own version in a very-very short period of time!. so it can be said that monza proved itself influential and is a success just like the fxx which is a pathfinder of trackonly hypercrs.
88 units to be built, and the guys at Aston would like you to check the CC100 concept revealed 7 years ago https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/7/7c/IAA_2013_Aston_Martin_CC100_%289833649163%29.jpg Stunning cars!
To be fair, Monza was not the first. Mercedes did their SLR Stirling Moss more than 10 years ago,, and built 75 of them. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mercedes-Benz_SLR_McLaren#/media/File:Mercedes-Benz_SLR_Stirling_Moss_McLaren.jpg And the AM CC100 goes back 5-6 years but as a concept car. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aston_Martin_CC100#/media/File:IAA_2013_Aston_Martin_CC100_(9833581536).jpg But like many things, Ferrari isn't always the first, but they tend to get it exactly right (from a styling point of view).
i didn't want to say that they copied tne monza. other car companies have history of making this type of cars but here it's noticeable that the immediate responses of mclaren and aston. it's also true that Slr-stirling moss came 10 years ago and it's fare to say that ferrari didn't copy it. notice the time-frame between these two. aston showed the concept in 2013 but that time they didn't have enough confidence to make it production ready. if we want to count- "who comes before who" then there was ferrari rossa, mythos and 360 barchetta. ferraris idea of launching Icona range is itself influenced by Aston and Jaguar's Continuation programme. Even tho Ferrari nailed it pretty hard with the styling, I think it is their marketing division that should be really proud. They successfully sold, in almost no time, 500 units of a not-so-practical car, at $2.5m a pop. All that while creating a brand new segment in their model range! That kind of price is what people would have paid to get one-of from the factory not so long ago! Cant wait to see what's next for the Icona range.
Interesting, It’s less than I expected. Congratulations on your purchase! What colour did you go with? Also, SP1 or SP2? Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
Aston Martin's V12 Speedster is on the works for at least 3 years. In that case, i believe Ferrari followed and the McLaren.
