Sorry I thought that was obvious as it state "Manufactures optional extras" on it, if it came from the factory it would say extras .......! I said invoice not factory invoice. The whole point and the question Howard was asking about headrest is:- That it proves that a Plexi car came with head rests when supplied new from Maranello GB, I would think fitted by the factory as if not the dealer would have had to have ripped apart the new seats, welded tubes in the frame, cut holes in the top, caped the leather and then fitted factory head rests which we know had been planned as similar ones were seen on the pre-production car. This factory bw photo shows 11795, the 1968 Paris motor show car and the factory brochure car, which was not built by Scaglietti but by Pininfarina. It lives in Petaluma/CA since many years. Marcel Massini Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
the one I call the 7/8th's scale 365 GTB/4 ! Marcel would you share your picture of that particular car 11795 with two other also red GTB/4 coupes at the Florida Cavallino Classic in if I remember correctly 2003?
Does anyone know if this (or other) pre-production/prototype example(s) built by Pininfarina feature same or similar asymmetrical coach work details seemingly present on most (or at least most I've seen) Scaglietti built production cars or were Scaglietti body assembly fixtures* constructed without using these** as template ? Just curious. * Large blue(?) fixtures/jigs seen in some period (color) photographs taken inside Scaglietti assembly plant. ** Pininfarina built bodies.
Marcel thank you very much for taking the time to share the wonderful GTB /4 trio image from that Cavallino event!
Elsewhere here there are some complaints regarding how modern Ferrari models 'sit'. The modern Ferrari models sporting huge wheel well to tire gaps appear ready for off road duty. The old Ferrari models show some interesting stances to... Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

wonderful to see those details and that quilted silver underhood blanket looks brand-new like everything else under the hood. Thank you for sharing that red beauty here! Strangely I prefer the look of those deep USA wheels without the Ben-Hur spinners...

True although I find the stance varies quite a bit depending on how much fuel and luggage is on board. It’s also probably true that the springs on my car while still perfectly serviceable are a little past their prime. Image Unavailable, Please Login
