Hi---For awhile in the 80's I owned #0883 Boano/Ellena coupe that had a somewhat celebrated history because of its conversion to a (real) Cobra V8 w/4 Webers after its original V12 blew up in a race. I sold it to a man in OR, and lost track of it. Anyone know what happened to it?

Might get better traction in the "Vintage" model section.

Yes, obviously a model-specific question, so no idea why it was posted in the "not model-specific" forum. Thread moved.

What would a car like this be valued at in today's world if it was to come to market?

I still have the original ignition key from this car with Mr. Schaffer's name on a paper tag. Mr. Rapplleyea had a bad memory. He didn't sell the car to a guy in Baldwin, NY, he sold it to me for $13,500 plus an IBM Selectric typewriter(!). The guy in Baldwin (deceased) DID buy his 250GT Cab. The last I saw of this car was an ad for a TDF-ish "tribute car" carrying serial number 883GT...

Hi, I'm new to the Chat, and not sure where to post this. I'm wondering if anyone knows what happened to #0883GT, a 250GT Boano refitted with a Cobra V8, Jaguar D-Type alloy wheels, that I owned back in the 80's. It was dubbed the "Ferrarobra" in a couple of magazine articles. A beautiful restoration and refit. Also in the 80's I owned #11101, a 365GT 2+2, and a couple of 308 GT4's. Thanks for your help.

You need to start a new thread in the vintage section or a Mod. may move this if they see this with luck.

Grant, with all due respect, but relying or waiting for moderators to find inaccurately placed single posts or threads is just wishful thinking as they probably are more than overwhelmed with all the inappropriate nonsense constantly going on in a forum of this size.
You may already know this, but the easiest/quickest way to get offending content moved or removed is to click that “Report” button on the lower left corner of each post and just request appropriate action.
It’s not guaranteed anything will happen, but chances are much higher.

Just trying to help the new guy out Timo as no one else had, and he said he was not sure where to post this.

In July 1989 you sold 0883 GT to Tim Chinn, nephew of the infamous Don Fong in Atlanta, Chinn was resident in Eugene/OR. Car later went to Italy.
October 7, 1985, 0883 GT was featured in "Auto Week" magazine.

i do somewhat track these on my own spread sheet - so I appreciate the info that is coming out.....

for the record this car is consider an Ellena - not a boano - some slight differences
