That stick shift fascination is gone from what I'm seeing. It's more a maintenance cost factor. With the DTC gearboxes becoming more and more reliable, the 3 pedal cars are becoming redundant.

This. I love my ‘06 and would not give it up, but my ‘19 is a homologation car with not only a racing pedigree, but a highly successful one at that. I won’t give it up either.

IMO Ford made a huge mistake in 2005/6/7 not running the 2nd gen as a factory race program.

Looks like Ford learnt from the Ferrari "Larceny" handbook. The option prices are insane.

They charge $25k for this package

    Dark Energy

    • Ebony Alcantara®-Wrapped Instrument Panel, Pillars, Headliner, Door Sills, Air Register Pods and Center Console
    • Matte Dark Stainless Appliques on Instrument Panel and Seat X-Brace
    • Ebony Alcantara®-Wrapped Steering Wheel with Anodized Black Shift Paddles, Leather-Wrapped Horn Pad with Debossed GT Logo"

You'll get it back at auction when you're selling a car with 'ALL' the options, as they like to promote.

Lol at the dealer ad, this car is one of one.

well no ****, each car was spec’d to the customer’s order, making every car a one of one.

Those of us that have 05/06 GT's and drive them were turned down by Ford! My 720S Spider is better anyway!!

800 miles. Quite the brand ambassador.

At a minimum they should've gotten the watch photo correct. All watches are photographed with the time at 10:10.

I had no idea sour grapes stayed this fresh for so long.

Some people selling cars for profit. Outrageous.

No sour grapes if you get one!
Buying it only to turn a profit is wrong.

I think he means the controversy surrounding it because Cena tried to sell it before he was allowed to.

Cena flipped it and got into legal action with Ford (now settled) but I'm not sure a collector will care much either way about that....maybe. The car is however an early build '17, is a "O" option car with standard paint, has been towed around to more venues than a Ringling Bro wagon which means multiples suitors thus multiples cold starts, the warranty is all but gone and the current owner is in it pretty deep if the rumors are true. My guess is if you have a million+ laying around to invest into a NFGT there are better options coming up.

Why anyone would pay F40 money for one of these FORDS is beyond me.
I’ll take the legacy Ferrari considered the worlds best Supercar anytime.

Please tell us about the F40’s racing “legacy,” if one can even describe it using that term. You’re funny.

I think its patently stupid to pay over a million for a 6 cylinder Ford when you can have a F40.

Lets see how much "legacy" the 6 cylinder Ford has in 25 years compared to the F4o. The fact you are even comparing the two is what's truly humorous here. You're kidding right? You are comparing a FORD to the last car that Enzo signed off on and is universally considered THE Ferrari of the last 50 years?

    Come on man, get real.
