I've been reading with interest the tyre threads for 599.

Is MPSS still the advised choice in 2020?

I'm running those now, but finding unless the road is bone dry they're a bit of a handful.

I don't deliberately venture out in the wet, but sometimes you get caught out and even on dry days, stretches of road can linger wet for a a few days.

So, stick with MPSS or try something new?

(I don't use the car enough in winter to warrant a winter tyre)

The Michelin Pilot Sport 4S is generally regarded as the better tire.

So many people have said this that when its time, I'm dumping my Pirellis for the Michelins.

The Pilot Sport 4S is the replacement for the MPSS. They are still manufacturing some MPSS sizes, but eventually they will be phased out. I replaced my MPSS tires with the PS4S when they old ones timed out.

And it’s true George so you won’t regret it for a second! I can confirm the same phenomenon on a 612!

I put the PS4S on my 599 last year, they are great with the car
