I've been reading with interest the tyre threads for 599. Is MPSS still the advised choice in 2020? I'm running those now, but finding unless the road is bone dry they're a bit of a handful. I don't deliberately venture out in the wet, but sometimes you get caught out and even on dry days, stretches of road can linger wet for a a few days. So, stick with MPSS or try something new? (I don't use the car enough in winter to warrant a winter tyre)
The Pilot Sport 4S is the replacement for the MPSS. They are still manufacturing some MPSS sizes, but eventually they will be phased out. I replaced my MPSS tires with the PS4S when they old ones timed out.
And it’s true George so you won’t regret it for a second! I can confirm the same phenomenon on a 612!
I found my review of these tires - https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/new-michelin-pilot-sport-4s.550557/
