The blocking feature is flawed anyway. It needs to be set up like FB so when you block they can't see you either. It's
    just one sided.

We don't have to get along, heck half the fun of internet forums is arguing your point. Feel free to attack comments and opinions in the glory of the marketplace of ideas. As long as we keep things away from personal attacks, we're good.

    Carry on.

After checking the various listings this morning, I would say 100k.

"The market does not agree with this.
If that were true, Kevin’s impeccably kept, two owner (one being a celebrity) car, with only 11,000 miles on it and listed at 99 grand would’ve sold along time ago."

A Testarossa is not fast sale and there's lots of choice at that price range in the market. Just because it doesn't sell, doesn't mean the price is too high is the only reason. Cars like other commodities fall in and out of favor.

Agreed...and condition, services up to date...the list can go on.

If you're a buyer and all the listings start at 100k, do you think anyone will accept 60k?
    Barring individual circumstances, nope.

Cars were comodities, but they have been touted as investments. Now reality is settling in and theyre returnign to com oditiies.

The latest bubble to start bursting is the special edition new car, Local porche dealer told me the fiost GT2 Rs were 300k over list, the last few they were happy to sell at list. Artiificialy created markets dont sustain.

Every dealer has been touting nearly every old car as "collectable" . the new special editions make even less sense, next year theye will be more special editions and this years ones will be obsolete. Plus what makes the special edtition so desireable. Rarity, maybe. theres no history or racing provenance, plus every manufactuerer is on on it now, its marketing hype, same as auctions on old cars, and as more come tot he market they return to comodity status..

the only one that may have real leggs imo is the MurryT50

I do think people will accept 80k if they want to sell.
Seems liek all the dealers are using BAT now to sell. Whiel there are some anomolies in prices there its a good window.

yes condition is important and any of these cars can quickly absorb 30k. But Ive seen many a perfect cosmeticaly obsessively kept ferrari with lowish miles that in reality ran like crap. And Ive driven 50k mile ferraris that were not perfect but drove better than the day they were born. Ill bet there are 40-50k mile Trs that people have kept up as thye should that look nice if nto eprfect in the 70k price range when and or if they sell.

The key words " if they want to sell" If it's a dealer, well, maybe they have to cut the loss and move on. So, I agree with your first post on cars coming down in price. I was surprised to now see Lamborghini LP640 Roadsters in the 169k range. I even saw an Aventador Roadster outlier for a low 269k!
I do think that individual owners in the Testarossa market may be a little different. It's not like they need funding for the car, so again, barring personal circumstances, they will hold until the market comes back. That's what I'm doing. I have my Testarossa for sale and since, it's not moving, I choose not to lower my price but to hold.

Oh, and definitely agree, these are luxury consumer items....definitely not in any way an investment...and never saw it as such. That's why I drive the exotics I own.

Absolutely correct. Of course I was referring to ‘actual sale price’ results. Not “asking prices”.
Heck, I could ask $50 million for my house! But if you start throwing $50 million “asking prices” into your housing spreadsheets you’re going to have a very distorted version of the actual market place
It’s funny how a market clears extraordinary quickly when buyer and seller both have a realistic trading price in mind.
    Ain’t capitalism great!!!

I think there are more than a few older Tr owners who personaly time out, and the car comes on the market.
Remember not long ago what the single mirror Trs were asking and selling for.
Its all not dissimilar to the 308/328 market.
