Ed your car is a winner. Wrap something around the steering wheel, cover the driver seat and remove the cig lighter before you send it off. john
Amazing restoration of a beautiful Ferrari. And far more valuable than all those fake SWBs. Bravissimo !
thank you everyone - yes will cover the seats and steering wheel - we load the car today in a 2 car hauler. bringing a clients GTC as well - needed more time to drive the car, but will when we get back....
Yes. I do have a belly pan on the 330GT. It has a scoop in the front to capture air flow which exits by a gap the rear, with the air cooling the transmission. The small belly pan on your car appears to have no gaps to enable air flow. Or is it just that I cannot see them from the photo?
Lowell, you are correct, there are no air scoops on my pan, it is a two piece unit, unlike the 330 gt cars have a one piece there is no cooling effect on mine, but it does seal keep the wind stream separated from the engine, trans area. aerodynamic purpose?? i dont know?
From your photos it appears that the pan does not cover the engine sump, just the transmission and a small, further distance back. I am still at a loss for its purpose.
more pics of the belly pan......mine was missing completely, i made this from a friends original and vintage pics david carte exhaust system for my car! What an amazing adventure, you are truly a gifted artist. Thanks for bringing this work of art back to life.
Lowell said: ↑ Is there a gap at the rear of the belly pan to exhaust air? So perhaps it is used to cool the transmission just like the one on a 330GT. Does a 250 GT/E have a belly pan as well as an E?
from my 61 250 GTE lowell, i dont know what an E is? Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
If the judges have been following this thread, they should award you and the car without it even needing to be shipped there. Amazing job! Good luck!
