    Pitcher/Catcher?

You lost me... catchers always flash signals to the pitcher, and he
    either nods yes or no....
How would a smart watch be effective between the two?

Well, 'Deflate Gate' was NE/Baltimore, and the following week
under intense ball inflation scrutiny NE blew out Indy, so it wasn't
    that.

Take their World Series title and American League Pennants away, until this happens this commissioner is a joke, and the A$$holes get off scott free. That's how you send a message. Firing coaches happens all the time and the monetary fine isn't coming out of the players pockets. I'm sure a lot of teams do something like this but they were the ones that got caught.

Mike Fiers now wants to move on and not talk about the past? What a *****.

Pedro is right, he's not gonna be wanted in locker rooms. Especially now that he doesn't want to talk about what he brought up? What a clown.

It's funny to see people defend Fiers, and say Astros fans are just mad. Uh, no.

They obviously don't understand, once you sing, you shouldn't want to stop singing.

I agree, but also to reiterate: by stealing the signs so effectively, they made a lot of great pitchers look like crap,
and that comes back to haunt those pitchers when it is time to negotiate a new contract: 'Can't win in the playoffs', etc.
so their earning power is less.
Yeah, I know, instead of getting 15 mill a year they only get 12, but hey - that's a fair chunk to lose.

Thank you Mister commissioner for sweeping all of the cheating under the rug. I guess the Red Sox did nothing. You caught your sole suspect and are ready to move on. Don't worry about the other allegations about widespread cheating from both active and retired MLB players. Just the Astros and nobody else. Don't worry and be concerned that Beltran was affiliated with the Yankees three years b4 and two years after he was working with the Astros. yawn. Grab the broom and move on.

Nothing to see here. Move along. These are not the droids you are looking for.

You notice there are absolutely ZERO big names aren't saying ****. Nor is the majority of the players in the league.

    I wonder why?

'cause players are thicker than thieves. I've said this all along. A fellow player has to do something real heinous before another player will say something even remotely negative about them. Cheating to win isn't going to cut it...T

The league wants to move on and forget about all of it.

The league also needs to do something about umpires who make several mistakes a game.

So reportedly, all these teams knew the extent of the Astros' cheating even as far back as 2016. So much so that they were talking to each other, warning each other. So, I ask, why did none of them say anything or even leak to the media the way Fiers did? The rest of the baseball world doesn't want to talk about it, but the only logical answer is, "people who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones." There is no other explanation for why a for-profit business that will make a fortune in playoff and/or World Series revenues would keep their mouth shut over a now-reportedly "unfair" and illegal advantage that their opponent has.

If a fortune 500 business discovers that their main competition has been participating in unethical and illegal practice to take business away from them, what is the only plausible explanation for why that Fortune 500 company doesn't immediately expose them?

A good point was made by Clay Travis' substitute this morning: baseball, including all of the other non-Astros clubs, want this story to GO AWAY. That's why nobody except a few rogue Trevor Bauers and Bellingers are saying anything anymore. If the media, the fans, and especially other players keep pushing the 2017 Astros players the way they are, Correa's outburst will be only the surface of it.

Sooner or later, these players are going to be sick and tired of bearing the brunt of what they KNOW other clubs and players are doing, and they're going to lash out with information publicly a-la Fiers, and then baseball is going to have an enormous, MLB-wide investigation/suspension/fine problem on their hands that is going to make BALCO look like a warm-up.

This is not heading in a good direction for baseball, and the reason is because of (as a friend often says) the "moralizing of the pearl-clutching" crybabies.

Sooner or later, some Astros players, or Luhnow, or somebody, is going to snap and blow this wide open into a sport-crippling scandal...and MLB knows it.

^ I'm sticking with my "thicker than thieves" conspiracy theory. I think with the advent of free agency & players changing teams every year or two, I don't think they feel any loyalty towards the city or the fans or management, but do towards each other & their paychecks...T

Manfred. You should have listened to your lawyers who cautioned you about spotlighting the Astros sign stealing investigation. The scandal will not end well for you and the league/owners. Again I have no doubt you will do everything possible to sweep all additional allegations under the rug. I hope fans will sue the league and demand compensation for the fraud that was permitted to fester.

You will soon have more than just one boiling pot, on the stove.
