I have a question for you 599 experts..
Someone has offered me a trade of his 2007 599 for my perfectly restored 1974 365 GT4.
    Thoughts?
I would like to try a newer Ferrari. I have always owned old Ferraris..
This 2007 599 has 8k miles and good service records..
    Thanks for your help..

Only you can decide what drives your passion.

But - the 599 is a special car. Unique styling, crazy power, fun to drive.

If you are unsure, don't do it. If you keep thinking about it, do it. Life is short.

Hey Mike, You should put a picture up of your GTC4. I remember when you did the restoration, it's a totally awesome GTC4. Knowing a little bit about your car, I would hope that the 599 has very low miles. Otherwise the GTC4 is worth more than the 599.

and the 365 is likely to continue to be worth more if that is a concern.

other than value ... GTC/4 is a cool car but not that well loved in the Ferrari world ... could never figure out why? the 599 is basically a modern Daytona... or a Modern GTC/4.... they are both comfy and easy to drive ( GTC/4 hard to drive compared to modern cars but was easy back in the day ) .... I do agree that because of Rarity the GTC/4 will continue to be more valuable... 599 likely to depress a bit more but probably not too bad. 599 is amazingly fast.

    Hi George,
Its not my GTC4, but my GT4 2+2. Looks like a 400i but the earlier version with the 5-speed...$200k restoration finished last year, really great car. I already have a 400i and the GTC4 which are similar cars..

I just drove the 8k mile 599 this morning. Wow we..What a car, You guys weren't fooling around when you all said this thing was powerful. Its a big car too. Feels very safe at high speeds..Its yellow so I dont think the color works for me. Do love the car..

Sorry for the confusion, also a lovely car and more in line for a trade on the 599. I love my 599, I feel safer out on the road with all the truck traffic. It used to make me nervous sitting so low that my eyeballs were level with an 18 wheeler's axel! I also thought I would never like the paddle shift, wrong. It's so fast it's like shifting a motorcycle.

I would buy the 599 first, and then decide :) Problem with me though is I wouldn't want to let either go ...

The 365 GT4 was essentially a 365 GTC/4 with 200 mm extra wheelbase and a new body. They look much smaller in real life than they do in photos. Look great in Argento.

Giallo Modena would be my first choice for a 599.

Giallo rare in 599 and looks special.

hmm... that is a lot of yellow. I like the 599 in non Traditional Ferrari colors... blue, silver, black to me look the best. if red then the darker old rosso corsa ... but Blu Nart is a great color.... or dark Green... BRG Verde

The minute you change the odometer out it becomes a TMU or true miles unknown on the car fax. If you think it’s cheap now just wait. After that you’re doomed

Not necessarily true. FAI can change the mileage on a new odo to match the old one and certify the results. My 575M odo was done that way.
