Question......the 365 GT4 has the same engine and drivetrain of the 365 GTC/4. Does it have the same exhaust system/sound? To me that was one of the most amazing things...the sound of a C/4 in 3rd at 5000 rpm. What a howl!! :D

Isn't the C/4 engine nearly the same as the Daytona except side draft vs downdraft carbs? Ferrari quoted more power from the Daytona engine than from the C/4. But that's based on my memory w/o any research.

Not a 365 GT4 2+2 in your first pic. It's one of the 400 cars. Borrani wires were available on the 365, though do not suit it imo. You could get Borranis for the later cars but they required an adaptor for the 4 bolt hub.

Agreed,I'd never think of putting 'em on mine.....though (and I've been howled down in Aussie) the C4 with wires AND colourcoded bumpers look great.....IMO!

412 is a better car. I almost brought one from FOH around 2005 or so. I think the price was $35k? for a very low mileage car.

From the picture you posted the car has a small chin spoiler on the lower part of the nose. Though not visible in the pic you posted, the 365 GT4 2+2 had 3 lights either side at the back, and the later cars 2.

My apologies. Typo above. A shame the edit window is way too short. Later cars than 365 GT4 2+2 in the series had 5 bolt wheel hubs, not 4.

The 400 twin light is the way to go.

Ross, with your resources, I recommend that you send it out to the roadster shop in Chicago and get it modernized. C6 Chassied and LS powered with full IRS treatment.

The lines and interior stays the same with the latest power, performance and reliability.

The 365 GT4 2+2 is over 10" longer than the 365 GTC/4 so the exhausts will have a difference somewhere along their length. Propshafts will be different too due to the 200 mm extra length of the wheelbase of the 365 GT4 2+2.

Yes the 365 GTC/4 and 365 GT4 2+2 (claimed 340 BHP) have the same engine but they are are different engines to the Daytona (claimed 352 BHP). The Daytona is also dry sumped. See diagrams below from the Owner's Manuals.

Mind you, there is no rhyme or reason with Ferrari. The 400 and 412 cars from the same series did not have 2+2 in their name title either, although they were certainly 2+2s.

Plus I don't think any USA 365's had the large turn signal side lights....though I maybe wrong.
I actually thought the 365 wasn't officially imported due to your emission situation hence Ferrari sticking on the injection and whacking in the GM auto.

There was no official USA version of any of this series of cars.
