Bottom pipe doesn't look so bad now that it's clothed in rubber. Image Unavailable, Please Login Sent from my SM-N920I using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Now to go around all the rivet holes and run an 8 gauge self tapper through to make installation of the spare tyre tub easier. Image Unavailable, Please Login Sent from my SM-N920I using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Still waiting on the hard a/c lines to be fabricated - he's had the bloody things for a week. So I thought I'd see if I could finish the interior. Rerouted the 50mm flexible duct. A bit more clearance around the pedals. Not too obtrusive. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Sent from my SM-N920I using FerrariChat.com mobile app
I needed to somehow provide cooling to the a/c fan controller. There are two holes in the centre vent plenum, which I normally block off. I wanted to plug a tube into one of them to direct cold air onto the circuit board, but it had to be a certain shape. Luckily, I never throw anything out, in case it might be useful one day. About 8 years ago, I replaced all the heater hoses, and had a few odd bits left over. One of them... fit... perfectly. Naturally, I told my wife... Pat - I am enjoying tracking your progress It’s put me off attempting anything like that on my car Back in the pre upgrade days, did your Air Conditioner Condenser drop a lot of condensate from your humid Gold Coast air onto the ground when you parked the car ? I am surprised how much moisture pools under my car after I am parked for a while on a humid Sydney day. Does this photo show a similar amount of condensate that your car generates ? That comes from the evaporator inside the car David. The condenser gets hot. The evaporator removes the moisture and cools the air. And yes, there is a LOT of water Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Lots of heavy breathing in your car? About all I can think is your condensate drain might be partially blocked and water builds up in the housing. Have you ever had cold water drip onto your feet? Sent from my SM-N920I using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Of course, that may be normal - Sydney is a humid sh**hole Sent from my SM-N920I using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Hi Gizem - that’s what the technical part of my brain is telling me but my eyes (admittedly in a poorly lit garage and with the car not elevated at all) show the water eminating from up near the condenser I assume the evaporator has a drain that must discharge in that location Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
No water on my feet - yet Air blowing into the cabin is farkin cold - which is nice I still get very excited driving my car so the heavy breathing is all mine Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Sydney is quite humid at the moment - the fires will return soon and the humidity will disappear again Where does the condensate from the evaporate drain exit the car ? Is it up near the condenser ? Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
No.... Should be fairly much under the evaporator. You should be able to see the hose out the bottom of the car
It’s definitely a by-product of the A/C system as it was not happening before I replaced the compressor and got the A/C system working The Instruction Book that I have lacks sufficient detail to see where the condensate discharges so I will need to get access underneath the car and see WTF is happening and where that hose is and whether the liquid that is pooling under the car is coming out of that hose Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Of course it is. It's probably doing more now because the Aircon is working so well. Just stick your head under the car. You'll see the hose sticking out unless someone has screwed with it
You can see the hose in post 158. You can pretty much reach behind the front wheel and touch it Sent from my SM-N920I using FerrariChat.com mobile app
BTW, the OEM receiver drier is about $275. It's identical to the Caterpillar one for... $20. Image Unavailable, Please Login Sent from my SM-N920I using FerrariChat.com mobile app

So the bottom a/c pipe fitted OK, but the top pipe took a bit longer to make, as I was very specific about the dimensions. Finally got it yesterday, and... it looked way too big. Here it is next to the guide I made Image Unavailable, Please Login Sent from my SM-N920I using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Yesterday......Friday traffic.....40 degrees Celcius.....a/c coping now problem. Car temps normal. Why have you wasted your time?
