Hi guys, Have a strange issue with my CS recently. On full bore acceleration past 7K revs, the engine cuts out like it is hitting the rev limiter. If I push beyond this the CEL comes on and it goes into limp mode. Restarting the engine clears this. Otherwise car drives just fine with no issues. Only comes on beyond 7K revs. Anybody experienced this before on their cars? Cheers.
Odd one. If the light came on then goes away, there will be a stored code. Definitely need to get your code scanner out and see what the error code is then. Its on the engine ecu's, so any cheapo $10 code reader will be able to bring up the fault code.
You should be able to monitor fuel trims through. Obd scanner live data. Or install a quality fuel p gage on the rail and video fuel pressure when you have the problem.
ok. let me guess, the ground point under the RH engine bay panel is loose. the cel should be something related to cam phase error
