how to get history on old Ferrari

I would like to find out more of the history of my car, 57313, a 1985 USA GTB QV. If anyone has suggestions on how to find out more about its previous life, please post here. Thank you.

 

You can ask at Ferrari Market Letter. They had info on my car.

 

The only other way I know of is Classiche at Ferrari... but likely you'll only get what it was delivered with - and where. you may be able to get a VIN ran by the Federal govt... NTISHA ? not sure if they do that anymore. Used to be Dick Merritt.

 

There used to be several different registry's that your car might have been on.

Here's a thread that discusses some of them. No idea how many of them are still active or updated. I know the QV one used to be kept up pretty well. Not sure about the GTB one listed in the thread. There was another site years back that listed more prominent models but sometimes had more "lowly" cars listed too but I can't seem to remember the name or find it.

Most states no long offer information but you might request it from Iowa and Texas and see what their policy is.
