Holy cow. I can't believe someone bought a HondaJet Small plane slides off runway at Midway | abc7chicago.com
No the brakes were designed by the same clown that over engineered the brakes on a Goldwing 1800. Anyone who has owned one or worked at a Honda motorcycle dealer knows what I am talking about.
Looks like the plane is OK. And glad to hear passengers are too. I was recently at a Honda jet event in Concord (NC), where we got to drive the New Acura NSX. The airplane is very innovative with the way the engines are mounted to the wing, instead of the fuselage. I still do not like the idea of a twin-jet classified as a VLJ (Very Light Jet). The new Cirrus jet - with one engine - is a true VLJ. From what I heard the Honda Jet is around 4.5M.
Like the twin-jet Fokker airliner in the early '70's... only a few sold. It was innovative then, maybe. (Edit Fokker 614... not as homely as the Honda...)
My hangar mate two doors down has one. It is a beautiful airplane with exceptional fit and finish. The avionics and systems are extremely simple and very geared toward SP operation. I flew the airplane with him last week and saw 400 knots true at FL 410 and 600 lbs/hr. EXTREMELY quiet and absolutely no vibrational noise... sort of like sitting first class in a MD80. This is a very nice airplane. Weird looking maybe, but a VERY nice airplane.
Well Duh....Its a Honda hahahah. After ten years, I finally saw one in the wild a month ago. Im sure its well sorted. In fact, I would like to see a bigger Honda Jet.
Update, I’m buying it! Its truly an incredible bird when you get to know it . 150 of them now. Best selling light jet out there now from 2017 on...
