    The seller has posted this in the Classifieds Forum up at the top, but I think that many interested folks might have overlooked it.

    The block's I.D. tag number sequence would seem to indicate that this was from an early model year 1981 GTSi or GTBi.

    I have no affiliation, and I've only posted it again down here since the final picture in the above link shows the rebuild's Bill of Materials with full costing. Which would be of keen reference interest for any of us who might someday have our own similar engines rebuilt.

    (Plus reading thru the Comments is sort of amusing)

    There was a question in the comments that looked improperly answered. Please correct me if I'm wrong but the early carb setup will not bolt up on a 2vi cylinder head, right? The seller says it will....
