    I recall as a teenager in the 60's reading about one or two model car makers who made cars about 18" to 24" in length that took a year to build and cost considerably more than a new car at the time. The detail was off the chart. The Borrani wire wheels were spectacular. Typically they were commissioned by a Ferrari owner to duplicate their car.

    Sad but true, Mark. Lack of display space has me resorting to storage boxes in the guest room, under my work desk, etc, frequently to my wife's dismay. I track the diecasts (1/43 and 1/18 with some 1/12) and model kits (built and unbuilt) on Excel.
