I coordinated the Best in Show awards for the 10 classes. I chose the Maserati 3500 Sebring Vignale for one. And a couple of others. The owner of the F50 drives the car like it should be driven. Great guy with lots of passion for driving one of the best Ferrari supercars built. I give the awards for the owner as much as the car. I ran this show for many years. It still is one of the best shows in the country!! Thanks to all for these great pictures!
There were other perks included. Nice quality buffet lunch, drinks tickets, comfortable seats and the best portapottys in Naples.
Unfortunately, some of the volunteers at the other gates were not aware of the fact that there were special cars, etc. in the VIP area. When we asked about what was included in the VIP admission, they said "food and drinks". Sorry we missed it.
Running a show of this size is a huge undertaking and getting all of the volunteers on the same page can be challenging. Every year the organizers assess how things went and adapt. Having had a little experience in somewhat smaller car events, I’m always impressed with how Tom and the clubs pull the event off.
I’m sorry I missed it.....anyone know if there is a Ferrari gathering at Amelia? If so, please let me know
Just give me a shout next year. I can help you with anything you need. Do you want a preferred parking or better yet a prominent display space? Maybe an award? Lol..... As any connected Italian will ask.......do you know someone? And..Schwoo.... you do.
There was one blu 355 at the show. We need more!! Hendrick was supposed to bring 2 C8s. Not only did they welch on the promise but they parked their Vettes in the wrong place. I had to scramble to get them relocated by parting the masses down 5th. Every organizer was really unhappy they didn't bring the C8. Hendrick lost a lot of respect from the club.
Under the heading of even the best can be improved. Coffee in the tent would be nice. The BOA Drivers lounge was great but was on the other side of the entry gate. Getting back from there through the crowds with coffee wasn’t as convenient as it could have been. but if that’s my biggest complaint you guys must have done one helluvah job.
