Tom Kristensen named Grand Marshall of the 2020 "Super Sebring" combined WEC and IMSA weekend. He could still suit up, go out and kick ass as always. http://www.dailysportscar.com/2020/02/03/kristensen-named-grand-marshal-for-super-sebring.html BHW
Absolutely. But, after his time with the Audi assault ('last of real endurance racing), I would hope he wouldn't lower himself.
I really miss the old prototypes for whatever reason I really don't mind IndyCar being effectively a spec series now; but prototype racing should be, well.....prototypes, not an Oreca or Dallara kit car.
(A) 'Don't get it....why not??? (B) 'Same. It isn't the number or makes of the cars (CART essentially down to two before the split; Reynardf and Lola. IMSA also (3)....March, Lola and 962....it was basically over when Electramotive and Gurney dominated).... It is the "leveling of the playing fields" (all major venues); the arrest of teams' development, BoPing.....and....gadzooks.....the penalization for establishing deserved championship dominance...... 'No longer racing.....a competition to determine the best.....'merely a scripted show. (Redundancy? I must. If I don't, what was real racing will be forgotten.)
