I’m currently dealing with the common door lock issue on my 360 Spider. My main goal here is just to be able to lock the car when it’s in a parking lot or while traveling. If I unplug the electrical connection from the locking mechanism, will I then be able to just insert the key and manually lock each door? Any help is much appreciated.

When mine began developing the symptoms, the lock mechanism itself was the problem, so the door wouldn't unlock/open. It didn't matter whether I used the fob or the key.
I had to enter via the passenger door, and crawl over the center console. Luckily, I'm small enough to do that.

I would strongly suggest replacing the lock on that door now, before it fails and you're left with a much more difficult problem of getting the door open.

Ordered a new lock for my 360 yet One of the cables has this “S” shaped end vs. the “L” of the original bale. Help?! The S will not fit my door handle mechanism

Any chance of simply cutting it to the 'L' shape needed?

Thanks - I did exactly that and it work. A bit hesitant in finding workarounds on an F car but then…it’s just a car…

the 430 need to use the rubber outside of the “L”
so to minimize cost, i guess ferrari just produces the 430 cables and no more 360 cables, which is just a 430 cable without the black rubber.

I see this also applies to replacement door wiring harnesses. One size fits all. Left and right doors on the F360 and the F430 all have the same harnesses now. Even the 430 Scuderia, which has no speakers in the doors has speaker wiring. The plugs are simply not used.
