Somebody said '69 Camaro. Sorry I let this one go. My '69 Z28 with JL8 4 wheel disk brake option. One of about 205 that left the factory with it.

I like others have a mix of vehicles, but if you meant what could replace the F355, I can't think of an equal for me, for many reasons.

That being said, what -would- I have to replace it? Maybe a gated 360 or stick GT3 but would still rather have the 355.

You might be the only other person I know of who has an FD RX-7 and a F355 at the same time :).

Just don't do the LS swap on the Rx7.

I almost bought one this past weekend. Why lol?
I'm intrigued by the rotary, but really miss a lopey cammed small block. Being as I already have 6 cars, I was hoping to create a combo with the next one.

I'd really like to add a 356 Speedster - not under $150K though. Also, I don't fit very well in them and I'm pretty Porsche heavy already. The other one I think about is a 328 GTS.

But really, I'm not getting rid of the F355 so it would have to be an addition. And I have no more room for more cars so hopefully I don't do anything stupid...

You're not thinking like a car guy. Your garage ceiling is vaulted so room for at least 2 drive on lifts. Plus you live in Cali so you can have as many cars that fit in your driveway and yard. :D

Because the car will feel like a Corvette and not an RX-7. My buddy put in about $100k into his Rx-7 with an LS3 and ended up selling the car because of the swap. His car is probably the finest example of a perfectly executed LS RX7.

The Rotary engine is light-weight, low center of gravity, and perfectly positioned. It also sounds great in its own unique way for a Turbo car, not to mention high revving. Buy an RX7 for the Rotary experience.

Cheers to you sir! Hope yours has been reliable, mine has surprised me, it's simple to work on and since the engine rebuild, extremely reliable!

I love the styling of both, clearly I'm a sucker for punishment, these 2 are notoriously maintenance heavy cars yet I keep them at home where as the pedestrian looking Nissans are stored elsewhere.

RX7 is most definitely still a rotary. Bridgeported and paired with a single Borg Warner EFR turbo. It's the quintessential rotary experience.

Mine has a fairly simply setup. No ports, 99 Spec twin turbos, and a custom V-mount setup. Power is limited up top, but response and torque is more than I can ask for. My motor gave due to water seals at somewhere between 85k-100k miles. A brand new Mazda crate motor from the Japanese factory can be had for $4k, which is great for a race motor. If it wasn't for the water seals, motor would probably keep going.

Ironically, my buddy’s LS RX-7 sold to a Ferrari executive in NJ, who grew up a rotary fanatic. He also has a 355. Although he loved the LS RX7, he sold it to build a rotary powered RX-7. Enjoy the Rotary for what it is... the good and the bad.

You need to get out more. I love my FD. However, my NSX is the car I won't consider parting with. It's supercharged (360 RWHP) and there is nothing left that I would do to it. 230,000 KM + and still going strong.

My pops had a 91 NSX which was actually the first car I learned how to drive a manual with. Superb quality build. Much better quality build than the RX-7, but there is something about the RX-7 that makes me like it just a tad more. Perhaps the shape or the smooth feel of the rotary engine or the 50/50 weight balance. Either way, they don't make cars like they do in the 90's anymore.
