I put 106K into one of these. It was not a wise investment.

Nicely done!! If I hadn't just bought something else......... :p

Seriously, love the mods he's done - NOT "kewl stuff to impress teen-agers". The Herb Adams formula is almost magic. Must be a hoot to drive, and this chassis/era pulls some heartstrings.

Glad you bought something else like a F355 I am very familiar with!

My friend, the original and only owner is an instrument maker for the University of Wisconsin Science Lab. He has worked on projects all over the world and worked on projects for NASA and Hubbell telescope. He fabricated the supports and other trick things on the car.

He made the exhaust tips and cut the exhaust bumper holes on the F355.

Where is the car located? Any rust anywhere? Any chance it can be made to meet emissions for year of manufacture?

Car is in Wisconsin. Not a speck of rust anywhere. Stored winters. Never really even driven in rain. Original paint.
Will ask the owner about your emission

    Any pics of the underside?

Owner thought you could put the converters back on and original carb and might be compliant but kind of ruins the
sound and performance of the car

Will try to get some underside pictures.
The battery is relocated to the trunk.
Herb Adams said this is the equivalent of moving the engine back 10 inches. The front brakes are GM full size 12 inch rather than stock 11 inch. Front has been lowered also to Herb Adams specs. Also has rear frame connectors. This really is a nice TA that has well thought out subtle performance mods

With modern cats and careful tuning I would say "possible" even with the current equipment...it's exempt in Texas now at this point.

My early 1967 had elevator weights in all four corners..."dampners"

I found them and went undamped pretty quickly but eventually the frame did break apart....on a Unibody!

See "beach front use" comment above.

I once passed on an original 1971, because the engine was blown. Only later did I learn of the Dealer Crate Options and that the motors used as intended blew up a lot!
So this build is a very careful modern replication of the 69 -71 specs, except without the "piston slap" during warm up.
These are potent cars....manual transmissions were fairly low numbers in the first place, hard to find.

This would be a incredible buy for someone entering the hobby. I was a Pontiac fanatic from the late 1970's through the 1980's. "No room at the Inn" now as they say, and I already have my one US musclecar allotment. I can't imagine this would last very long if it were posted on a Pontiac-centric site.

I agree. This really is not the forum to sell a TA. The owner is a Pontiac nut but he says most Pontiac sites are gone. I listed it here as a favor to him

Probably this one would be an ideal candidate for BAT, although I personally don't have any experience selling on that site, I see quite a fewT/As pop up.
