Hi, can anyone help with some pictures......

In the big red circus box that holds the 2 roll hoops and the removable rear panel..... How are the 2 roll hoops secured?

I see in the box there is a metal bar running along the side (with what looks like threaded holes), down at the level where the hoops sit on the floor of the box - are they secured to that, and if so by what method?

any photos or guidance greatly appreciated

    thanks
    Mark

There should be hardware that secures the items as guided by the owner's manual IIRC.

Hi Joe, I can't find anything in the manual relation to the hoops in the circus box.
If anyone gets a chance to post a photo it would be great.

    thanks

I think it maybe something as simple as the bolt, washer and spring washer in the picture (part 46,47 & 48) that screws through the roll hoop into the metal bar on the inside of the circus box, but just want to make sure I am making the correct assumption.

Problem solved I have found the answer, the roll hoops are secured to the metal bar in the circus box, with a metal plate, insulation gasket to avoid scratching and handled turn bolt.
    Picture attached for future reference.

the coolest feature is missing from your picture....the little removable torch (totally unique to the F50) that sits in the centre console, it lights up when the doors are opened to act as a courtesy light - given there is not one in the removable roof panel.

Is the above a USA spec car? the seat belt configuration is different from euro spec cars - that car has the seat belt recoil mechanism housed in the middle, between the seats. On a euro spec car the seat belts are housed individually to the left and right of the seat, effectively close to the door shut.
Thus allowing for the canopy bag to sit flat on the small shelf, nice and neat behind the seats. In the euro spec car, it sits much lower and does not impede your vision out of the rear window.

In the picture above, the straps are clearly there for the canopy bag, but the seat belt mechanism is right in the middle of where the bag should be, so where does it go? Does it rest on top of the seat belt box, ie balanced in the middle, sitting a lot higher in the US spec car with a space underneath the right and left side? does it actually impede the view out of the rear window when fitted?

Yes, but for me the coolest features on the interior of an F50 are the gear shift lever and the 3rd pedal.

Yes that's a USA car, slightly different configuration of course.

I'm not sure if the tonneau will impede rear vision, in fact I've never seen it used or in the car in the USA.
