Hello, I will be traveling through Europe later this month and will be renting a car to drive from Geneva to Monaco for the Grand Prix. Does anyone have a recommended route through the Alps (not via Italy) with turn-by-turn directions? Thanks!

Probably a bit late, but do route Napoleon (Grenoble, Digne les Bains, Sisteron, Castellane, Grasse)!!!

I like Geneva - Valais to Martingy then GSBernard pass / not the tunnel then aosta to Turin and over the border and last part of Route Napoleon. have not done that for a long while... but was fun.

once I did that route but stopped in Allesandria for some Napoleonic battle field tour at Marengo.. then down to Genoa and along to Ventimiglia and along to Monaco that way... its longer but super nice coastal scenery... in and out of the tunnels ...
