Don’t you just love these fake renderings of Maseratis that place the engine bay Air exhaust portholes in the front part of the door, especially when the car is supposed to be mid engine!

 

not on sale in May 2020. Will be unveiled May 2020. Probably won’t see cars until end of year at the earliest.

 

i hope they reveal something tomorrow. will be interesting for sure

 

only the name will be revealed tomorrow, hopefully they don’t call it the TC. I understand that a deal was worked out a while back with VW Group concerning the names Q4 and Bora among others.

 

Of course we hope for Bora! The car will be shown on May 29th in Modena. One prototype will be working by then. Pre- production starts in November. The car will be a hybrid and in 2022 also as a full electric.

 

My understanding hybrid will be an option, ice will be base. Hopefully it won’t be May 29th, that would be a mistake, should be doing 2 weeks earlier during Motor Valley Fest in Modena, with Mille Miglia, Monaco Historic GP and Villa d’Este Concours on either side of it.

 

Probably you can pay it in Modena... but a don´t know when you can drive it...

MC 20 is the new name

Based on what we've seen of a prototype mule, this new Maserati MC20 will be a mid-engined sports car possibly intended to compete with the likes of the McLaren 570S.

 

Best comment as to what the MC 20 will look like I have seen so far:

The actual appearance isn't concealed, it's not there at all. This is a chopped up 4C mule for chassis/powertrain validation. You can tell from the wheelbase that the body and cabin will be considerably larger than this.

 

too much competition in the 570 range. audi and nsx struggle badly there. this needs to be a c8/911 competitor. price it just above 100k and there is room. 200k and will sit in showrooms

 

going to depend on the spec. The Alfa 4C is a 250Hp car, the MC20 apparently will be developed as a larger version with 620+ HP 0-60 in 2 sec range. Very limited production, with performance of an F8,

so this might just end up being like the alfa 8c was. limited production collector car that comes from nothing previous and leads to nothing in future
