    But as was said earlier, it's highly unlikely. Not sure why your dealer would tell you that. As was suggested, call him and ask for a specific MODIS status.

    When your order is accepted by Ferrari SpA and put into the system, it is what is called Green 10. At this stage, the order is waiting for an actual build slot. This period is the most unknown, because it can be anything from a few weeks to several months depending on number of allocations the dealer has ahead of yours, along with what other dealers put into the system. If a slot opens up and you're next in line, but another dealer punches in an order coming from a level 3 client, you as a newcomer and level 5 client, will usually get bumped back to the next available build slot.

    Once your order is allocated a build slot, your order is locked and no more changes can be made. As long as it is Green 10, changes can be made. So until it is Red 10, no car assembly takes place. Now once your car goes Red 10, you are usually looking at 5 months if all goes well before you have the keys in your hand.

    So even if your car went Red 10 on the day you specced it, you are looking at three months. No way that is ever going to happen. If you're not Red 10 now, I'd be surprised if it shows up before the August holidays, so I'd say September earliest as the factory is closed in August.

    Not trying to put you off, just wanting to make it as transparent as possible. Ask your dealer for an actual status number and get back to us. If he says 10, ask if it is red or green.

    For those interested in the Ferrari/PPG paint process that began in 2018,I thought that my factory paint was excellent. But Cavallino used three different blends of paint to match the factory paint in different areas of the body. I can't tell the difference,but the expert eye can.

    Thanks for your detailed reply. Dealer said it was already Green 10 and he said he still expects it to be delivered in april (this year!). Unfortunately he can always blame Ferrari for "delays". Hope I do get it as I have to hand in my 911 for him to sell it before the summer (it is a cabriolet). While waiting he will lend me a Jaguar XE as he is also a Jag dealer. Will be pretty pissed off if i do not have the car before the summer.

    If it's still green 10, it is impossible for an April delivery. July perhaps if it goes Red 10 within March.
    You might want to ask him how he can say April, when Green 10 means the car isn't even allocated a build slot and the usual time is 4-5:months from Red 10. I would love to see him weave his way through that one. Ask him to give you a Cali T on loan if the April delivery does not come through. I suspect he won't.

    Could you please tell me what colour it is? Is it Blue Corsa? I'm thinking about painting my silver Portofino (with a bordeaux interior) to this one. I was worry that this interior may not work with Blue, but this foto shows it can.

    I agree. I wouldn't go as far as ugly, but opaque / matte finishes are not to my taste. I like shine when I look at a car...T

    That would seem very fast! To give you a reference, I confirmed my order on Sept 15th. Expecting to take delivery Mar 8th. No special color.
    Dealer had told me to expect Jan/Feb so I don’t think they were pretty close in their estimate. I live in Northern California.
