Just play recorded 458 sounds through your speakers in your F8! Problem solved!

F8 louder??? Have you heard this with your own ears? Maybe inside due to the hot pipe, but on the outside the F8 is much quieter than the 488.

I did, although I’m used to the 488 sound outdoors and I first heard the F8 indoors, I’ll give you that. But my personal perception at idle (cold start), the F8 seemed louder to me.

    Kind regards,

    Nuno.

The F8 uses open valves at idle, but they shut as soon as you hit the throttle. The 488 runs them like the Lusso. Closed on cold start and closed at idle. Then they open based on throttle position, speed, revs etc. So by that measure, yes initially the F8 is louder especially at idle, as the valves are not in the same position. If you put the valves in the same position, the 488 is the louder one.

Is there any position that the valves open again on the F8, 458 is 3k rpm in race

This is contrary to what the tech at my dealer advised. In my query about keeping the valves open continuously, he replied that the valves on the F8 remain closed until 3k at which point they open. No problem keeping them open from turn on.

I don't know when exactly the will open. You have to remember that it's a combination of a few things, not just rpm.

Thinking there might be a matter of how things are explained. What I'm told is that when the car is in neutral and idling, the valves are open. Then as soon as you start to drive, they close and will stay closed for the 3k or so mark. That might be what your tech meant. Not saying it is like that, just a suggestion.

The good news is that the valves can be open from start to finish.
