Name of the vessel is Vienna Express. It is currently in the port of Campamento in Gibraltar. Schedule to arrive in NJ around March 8.
That is great - Congrats............please send a ton of pictures as soon as you take delivery..........
Just got written confirmation that my car is on the same ship. If all goes well, I’m going to have it for my upcoming trip. Pretty exciting!
BTW, still haven’t seen a single picture. My sales guy said he could push them through. After checking, he said they were unavailable to him too. He also told me that a car that had entered the system 3 weeks before mine is still at 60. So who knows what going on at the factory. Just glad mine is on the way.
Yes the Ferrari production process seems to be mass entropy. There is really no excuse for not being able to provide production photos in a timely manner via electronic means. My car has been stuck at status 30 for a month, so now looking at Q2 delivery; hopefully no later than June.
Does not seem they are organized yet with the F8. I will however gladly give back my photo if it gets my car on a boat!
From another thread: “ I was touring the v8 production line last week and out of maybe 50-cars, the majority were still Pista, with a few Pista Spyders and still only a handful of F8's.“ Guess that explains it, still pumping out Pista’s but should be just about done with those....
I was told yesterday there are still a few pistas for the UK to dlbe delivered and the production for f8 has not ramped up yet at all, in UK dealers do not even have allocation yet Sent from my CLT-L09 using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Read that too. Makes sense although not sure I like them going back in forth on models.........makes me worry a little that the initial F8's may be prone to issues versus when they are running them full time. Still hoping my car gets to 90 this coming week (have been at 70 for over a week now)
Pistas will be prioritized until the August holidays. Was told until then, less than 1 in 10 on average v8 sports cars off the line will be LHD F8 models was told it's an even lower priority for RHD models. Was told thr Pista and F8 production priorities rank as follows. US Europe Asia/Oceania UK Some say it's the same for the 812. That might explain why some have been waiting 20+ months for an 812SF in the UK. Sent from my SM-G930F using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Thanks for updating us. Few if any customer car delivery yet in the US. Most of the dealerships now have the Demo cars.
Well the Vienna Express is still sitting in Campamento, it hasn't sailed for Italy yet, it needs to get moving if it's supposed to be in NJ by March 8. Anyone now at 90 is probably supposed to be on that ship.
I’ve been watching like a kid in a candy store, and you’re right, it has not left Campamento, which is a little weird. Are you under the impression that our cars are not on the ship yet. I was told they were on the ship and had already left on voyage 65 to New York. The thing that does not make sense is ZIM shows the route stopping at 3 more Spanish ports before turning east toward New York. What’s your take?
Rosso Corsa Metallizzato.. I believe Rosso Corsa Metallica dates back to the Glasurit days, and looks quite different. Sent from my SM-G930F using FerrariChat.com mobile app
I have that impression from looking at where the Vienna Express has been the last 33 days. It's been moored at Campamento for that long so if it's the ship and the tracking info is accurate, it's still got to go get the cars. Maybe it has been delayed?
Many believe the cost isn't worth it over the Rosso Corsa and believe go to a triple layer. We are all different. The Rorsa Corsa is the colour shade I love. But the color being solid just doesn't have that shine. RCM will always shine with no flat spots. Would I ever pick it again 100% for sure. Frankly I was ecstatic when Ferrari released it.
UK dealers just got their RHD demos, I drove one on Friday and it had 75 miles on the clock, dealer still thinks first cars in April/ May but those must be for vip customers, factory not taking RHD orders yet I'm told Sent from my CLT-L09 using FerrariChat.com mobile app
I'm aware. Was just pointing out that the name was Rosso Corsa Metallizzato and not Rosso Corsa Metallica. The latter is a different colour from the Glasurit days of decades gone by. Sent from my SM-G930F using FerrariChat.com mobile app
