Ferrari announced a price increase at the beginning of june of about 6%. I guess that the reason is the increased price of raw materials

I wonder how much of a 25% import tariff they would shift to the consumer if that goes through. Maybe all of it?

My guess is that they would past the entire 25% duty onto the new buyers. Ferrari still has a huge demand in the marketplace and because all the other foreign exotics will be going up at the same percentage people would just gravitate to the car they want to buy and pay the extra duty.

No chance it'll go through. This is all posturing.

Now, that said, what are the latest MSRP's anyway? :)

I think there is a real question as to what happens to the market place for these cars if this tariff gets enacted. My prediction is it would be harmful.

25% certainly is hefty. It will probably even drive up the price of used one already here.

Exactly.... sitting on ‘inventory’ as new duties are enacted usually works out

I think the MSRP is $358 and change now. I was surprised also to see it increase more than $20k. So I guess if you order one now and it's a 2020 model it could be another $20+k.

I ordered an 812 in 10/2019 with a base price of 339, 962 but as the car is nearing arrival the dealer told be there has been a 6% increase to 360, 393. They have shown me documentation that the change was made on April 2019. The letter was from Alan Little, VP Sales, North America.

I deal professionally with businesses operating in tariff and duty regimes around the world and their response to tax increases is simple.

You pass it on. In full.

And their logic is also simple. Any other behaviour sends the message to the government that it’s okay to take from your profit pool and it emboldens the politicians to make further tax increases.

Didn't you have an agreed price when you placed the order? I certainly wouldn't order a car with "price TBD" on the contract...

I ordered my car on Jan 6, base price is $360,393

You can refuse to take delivery I suppose. Sounds like he was misquoted on the base price.

I also have a 2019 without ADAS. It wasn't available when I ordered the car. I was told it was on the 2020s so maybe someone with a 2020 can confirm that.

yes I have an agreed price. I am disappointed the dealership its trying to change the price as the car is getting close to pick up. I am in the process of getting legal counsel as I have documentation from the dealership with the agreed price. I submitted my complaint to Ferrari customer care and am waiting for their response. Any advise?

My 2020 was ADAS, but not sure about the 360 view. Where does your cars have cameras? I don’t have a front cam, so guessing I don’t have it. The lane departure is quite annoying. At least you can lower the sensitivity.
