It's finally on the way to Italy. Probably just in time to get stuck in a quarantiine (let's hope not). Expected arrival in Italy is 2/28.

Italy is currently experiencing drastic quarantine issues. Hopefully it won't affect the factory operations.

Spoke to the Customer service at the shipping line. The new date for arrival in New York is March 11th. Until it’s on it’s way across the Atlantic, no telling what arrival looks like.

Since this is my first new build...... dealership just emailed me back and said my car is on the water (not at port waiting to be picked up - he is adamant about that) but that does not sync with what you guys are saying (I am sure you are right). So 90 does not mean on a boat??

    Yeah, a wee
Yeah, a week ago I was told in writing that car is on the Vienna Express and will be in New York on the 8th. Obviously that was bad information because the Vienna Express will not ever reach Italy for 3 days. As we’ve said, getting real information out of Ferrari on these kinds of things is very sketchy.

Over the years I've learned to take status 90 with a grain of salt. To me status 90 could be at the port in Italy waiting to be picked up, on the boat waiting for ship to be be filled, actually at sea, at port in New Jersey waiting to be unloaded, or at Ferrari north America waiting for truck to take to dealer. Sometimes my car goes 90 and is at dealer within a week to everyones surprise and other times its 4-8 weeks and nothing like now.

Hey Jim, that has not been my experience on the previous 5 cars. Status 90 had always meant the car was on the water, but obviously your experience is more accurate. If our ship is in fact Vienna Express, then we know we’re days away from cars being loaded. Unfortunately late March delivery is looking unlikely.

Hope we get them at same time. Dealer here had 8 cars on last shipment and said half never got a photo. Ferrari really needs to fix that.

Regarding my allocation: Does the presence of my car's VIN on MyFerrari carry any significant meaning?

Think it means you are R10 which just means no more changes allowed to your spec but doesn't mean you are in production yet.

Guys what is the consensus on the seat lifter for the carbon seats? Dealer is telling me it could hurt resale without it, did you guys spec carbon seats and if you did you spec the lifter?

I did spec it. I was not told that but wanted ability to adjust on fly and also figured it would help on resale.

Again, not that it makes any sense, but my car never showed it’s VIN. I’m starting to wonder if I really have a car coming

There are a few threads on this, seems to run about 50/50... Personally I left it off, but did do Daytona Carbon race seats. Most “average sized” people should not need the seat lifter... My seating height was perfect with race seats and no lifter (5’11”)

Yep, you are correct, I checked my emails and he gave me the VIN when he told me it started production which is 20. So then Napoli should be in production.

Question : You guys that have ordered or ordered I have a question with regards to the S-Duct.

Are the only 2 options to either have the flat black plastic and carbon ? Can those pieces be painted in the same body colour as like the Pista ?
