I was due to pick up my 812 at the factory in a couple of weeks, and got a call yesterday that all events at the factory, including my delivery, has been cancelled.

Unfortunately that's the high price one has to pay for living in a globalized world. As we've seen virus can also be exported………..

Just was told only 20% of staff were in this week. I thought things were going to well with my GTS coming so soon!

I am glad they finished my 812. They may not be able to do too many cars for a while now. This could actually be good for the after market.

Sadly the after market already has more cars than it can handle.

Well if no new cars are being produced, people may decide to buy a used one instead of waiting. This is going to push deliveries across the board. I can easily see people who were planning to order the F8 deciding to buy a used 488 instead. Same for 812 because it's a current production car and the deals out there on 2019s are not bad.

If my 812 had actually not been built until April like they originally had told me, I would likely have either cancelled the order or bought a 2019 for less money. Mine got built very quickly though and is waiting to be picked up at the dock.

I prefer people being able to get their new cars and most important, people not getting sick.
I have one due too shortly but let's not forget we are talking about people's lives and jobs here...

You've been told wrong. The shutdown is just for tours and TM visits. They’re still building cars.

I hope you are right, it came from someone who's had been at the factory on Monday. Not a news report.

Spoke today with my dealer and one of their mechanics on Monday was already at the airport to fly to Italy and go to Maranello factory for a training and received a call from Ferrari cancelling the visit and suspending the trip. According to one of the responsible from my dealer there are many sectors of Ferrari's Maranello factory that aren't working and the personnel was send home.

Incorrect. A large part of the factory shut down due to some personnel coming from Milan who are deemed high-risk. Hopefully, back to normal soon. I am waiting in Maranello at the moment.

An offer of 3-5% over a dealer's true new car cost is a very acceptable offer when puchasing a new car. Although, it's not a huge profit, a dealer will sell a new vehicle for a 3-5% margin any day of the week.
Here's what you need to know.
    1. Research the market value for the car you want.
    2. Keep emotion out of the transaction.
    3. Negotiate each part of the transaction separately.
    4. Negotiate the final, out-the-door price.
    5. Research what incentives are available for the car you want.
    6. Price shop with multiple dealers.

In the US it is MSRP for new Ferrari’s and no discounts. Maybe Italy is different since it appears that is where you are from OR you were referring to new cars that aren’t Ferrari?
