Season 2 of Drive to Survive (the fantastic F1 documentary series) is now up on Netflix. Hopefully it's as good this year as last.
It's pretty much the same format as last season. More for the new/casual fan but still interesting enough for everyone else. Guenther needs his own spin-off show
I enjoy it more than the racing. Which supports you point really, I haven't followed F1 closely for a while now
They've dialed up the fake drama by a big margin, possibly to compensate for the processional races and predictable outcomes. Lots of musical crecsendos and fast camera cuts. Most of the quotes sound like reading from an overwrought script. e.g. Horner saying "if we don't give Max a winning car he'll leave". Yeah right. As for HAAS, my observation is that Guenther is the problem. His motivation/management is hopeless and he seems to have nothing to contribute to technical discussions.
Yep, he only seemed to want to impress Gene ..... but I do believe there is HUGE pressure in F1 to perform They seemed to include a lot of Dan, which I enjoyed
Hate to say it but Dan comes across as ****** and joker. Does not seem to have the gravitas to be World Champ
It's taken you this Netflix special to notice that Dan is a bit of a larrikin? Vettel is also a bit of a joker.
You must have some American in you It can be uninspiring at times but when Ferrari are winning it seems to be a great sport
I just watched the first 3 episodes of season 2 today, Gunther is a mad **** and he definitely does not add anything to the technical discussions because he has no idea. lol Where did he come from? lol
