Can anyone tell me the value for a 1964-1966 500 Superfast 208/12cyl. engine? Thanks.

Yes, I am trying to sell a Ferrari 500 Superfast engine and I am seeking help to determine fair market value. According to my research, Ferrari only made 36 of these cars. Any information is much appreciated.

It will be partially dependant on the status of the car it came from hence the questions about its ID numbers. Not an unusual request in the world of vintage Ferraris.

The chassis number will be four digits stamped on the pad as shown in Steve's photo. The numero interno(internal number) will be stamped in proximity to the chassis number and will send in "SA".

 

Not a problem - makes sense, you're just at the exploratory stage right now trying to get a fair value. No worries.

That said, once you do find the fair market price, I encourage you to list it in our classified sections, the cost is a mere $15 for 1 year.

The real value is what someone is willing to pay.
Who knows if Ferrari produced some spare engines back then?

I don't know if there is someone out there who is desperately needing an original Superfast engine. The use of one of those is quite limited if you don't have a Superfast without an engine.

A guideline could be how much Ferrari would ask for to make one new, if they can do so. I am sure members of this forum know that number because Ferrari is producing 250 GT engines.

When I had one in the late 90's I remember that a then Ferrari dealer in Nuremberg had a complete engine on offer. But I never asked which one it was or how much he wanted.
